Terms of Hire
1. THE HIRER SHALL:-
Sign and return the confirmation of hire no later than 7 days prior to hire start date. On signing confirmation of hire, the hirer agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions below.
The Hirer must:-
Maintain the goods in the same condition, appearance and state of repair as they are on receipt of said goods, in default of doing so, hereby agree to pay the owner on demand the cost of putting the same in such condition appearance and state of repair howsoever any damage may be caused.
Not part with possession of any of the said goods or item thereof.
Not attempt to assign the benefit of this agreement.
Immediately on request advise the owner of the whereabouts of the goods.
Not pledge the goods or any item thereof nor allow the same to be taken in execution.
Ensure no liquid or smoking will be allowed on any dance floor. On long term hires cleaning of dance floors must be way of damp cloth only
Return the goods or make them available for return at the owner's request, In default of this agreement, to pay the owner on demand a sum equivalent to the hire of, such sums to be the default in the event of greater loss.
The Hirer is responsible for any loss or damage to the goods from time of delivery until they are collected by the Company's employees. Deliveries left at premises unattended are left at the Hirer's risk. In the event of loss of the goods or any item:-
The Hirer:- Pays the owner the cost of replacements stipulated in the main hire agreement.
Is responsible for checking goods on delivery and must notify Alexanderhire of any shortfalls or damages immediately.
Shortages and breakages will be charged for including any packing boxes.
Goods may be returned soiled. In which case a washing up charge of 30% of the hire price will be made.
Charges for delivery and collection will be quoted when an order is made. Payment is to be made on or before delivery except when account facilities have been granted by prior arrangement.
Deliveries and Collections are quoted to 'ground floor only' (unless Alexanderhire agrees otherwise). Where delivery entails our staff taking goods to specific rooms or having to reassemble equipment after use and extra time is involved, additional charges will be made.
Unless the equipment or goods are faulty causing injury to person's property, we are not liable for any cause of injury or damage caused by use of goods and equipment hired. Particular attention should be paid to surfaces on which boilers, burner rings, hot plates, hot cupboards and bain maries are standing.
The HIRER undertakes full responsibility for the safety of the equipment on hire, and will accept full responsibility for the loss or damage of said equipment, howsoever caused.
The hirer undertakes not to interfere with or allow any other person to interfere with the mechanism or other parts of the equipment on hire without the express permission of the owner and shall indemnify the owner against any claims, loss or damage suffered by any party (including any third party) as a result or in consequence of any interfere.
Hirers should ensure that they or their representatives are at the delivery address. Wasted journeys may be charged for.
All prices listed are EXCLUSIVE of VAT.
Alexanderhire reserves the right to cancel this agreement or any verbal agreement relating to this hire with due notice
A refundable deposit against losses and breakages will be added to the invoice.
We reserve the right to substitute articles of a similar or superior quality.
We reserve the right to make a charge for orders cancelled, in whole or in part, less than TWENTY ONE DAYS days before delivery.
We reserve the right to charge interest on outstanding accounts at the rate of 2% interest per month.
Goods at all times remain the property of the company.
Extended Hire Rates
Friday to Monday charged at one day's hire only.
2-3 days...............One and a half times one day's hire
1 Week...............Twice one day's hire
2 Weeks...............Four times one day's hire
3 Weeks...............Five times one day's hire
4 Weeks...............Six times one day's hire
